SEASON OUTLOOK

The Bombers have another year of experience and are prepped to make strong improvements for the upcoming season.

Juniors Mariah Woods and Briah Daniel are the team leaders and have set a solid foundation for the team.

“Maria and Brian are two solid players to lean on,” Collins said.

Ultimately, the Bombers will find success if the team can come together, including a group of freshmen that will be new faces to the program this year.

GUARDS

Woods is the backcourt leader for the Bombers and possesses a variety of skills, while also being a premier team leader.

“Mariah is a good all-around player,” Collins said. “I think she is good enough to even improve on her solid numbers from last year.”

Woods averaged 16 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists a year ago.

Sidney Sweet will also see significant time at guard for the Bombers.

“She is a hard worker and is learning the position,” Collins said.

FORWARDS

Like Woods in the backcourt, Daniel is the clear leader in the frontcourt for Windham. She is another solid, all-around performer.

Daniel averaged 16 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists last year.

Another key forward for the Bombers will be Abby  Simpson, who Collins said he is expecting will “take on a bigger role” this season.

CENTERS

Sara Barker, a senior, will move into the starting rotation this season.

WHAT MAKES THIS TEAM SPECIAL

“Our work ethic,” Collins said.

UNDERCLASSMEN TO WATCH

SENIOR SPOTLIGHT

Barker has volunteered her time with the Bomers’ youth program and has matured into a player that the younger players can look up to.

Play hard. Play fast.

CAUSE FOR CONCERN

“We have seven freshmen, and we will need a few of them to mature quickly,” Collins said.

LEAGUE OUTLOOK

Collins points to Badger and Bristol to be the teams to beat in the Northeast Athletic Conference.
