SEASON OUTLOOK

The Ravens were in rebuild mode last season and look to use that experience to take the next step this season.

“We are looking to use our speed and athleticism to increase the speed of the game,” second-year coach Courtney O’Donnell said. “We want to build upon the skills that we started to develop last year and hope it translates into improvement, as we continue to work to rebuild the program.”

GUARDS

The group of Shamyah Henderson, NaCol Foreman and Kamryn Clark highlight the backcourt for the Ravens.

All three are capable of applying defensive pressure, as well as attacking the hoop on offense.

Providing depth will be Lou White and Breena Kainrad, both of which earned quality minutes last year.

They both will provide shooting from the perimeter.

FORWARDS

Jaylynn Walker and Abby Schofield are two strong, physical post players.

They will be asked to score from the inside and also handle a big portion of the rebounding efforts.

Jalysia Thompson is another frontcourt contributor that will be expected to expand her role.

All three will work the offensive glass to try to create opportunities for easy putbacks.

UNDERCLASSMEN TO WATCH

“We have a lot of young athletes on our squad and hope to have some begin seeing varsity time as the season progresses.”

CAUSE FOR CONCERN

“With being so young, we are working on developing a lot of skills and need depth with our lineup.”

LEAGUE OUTLOOK

O’Donnell believes that the league title will run through Norton and Streetsboro.
