The Crestwood Red Devils authored a thrilling second-half comeback to pull off the come-from-behind victory over Minerva on Friday night.
The Lions led 14-0 after the first quarter and 21-8 at halftime, but never scored again.
Meanwhile, the Devils scored 28 second-half points to earn the 36-21 road victory.
Twenty of those 28 points came in a fourth-quarter flurry that gave Crestwood (1-1) the lead and then it expanded on it.
Crestwood was led offensively by Nate Blasiole, who carried the ball 38 times for 252 yards. He scored four touchdowns on runs of 2, 17, 2 and 51 yards.
Quarterback Charlie Sommer completed 7-of-10 passes for 93 yards.
