A season preview for the 2024 season for the Aurora High School boys tennis team.

AURORA

Head Coach: Vincent Cannata, 2nd year, 17-4 career record.

2023 Highlight: Vincent Cannata, a senior this season, advanced to the district tournament as a junior.

2024 Season Outlook: Coach Cannata is looking to challenge for first place in the Suburban League American Division.

Vincent Cannata, who is the son of the coach and shares the same name, is seeking to advance to the state tournament.

Looking Ahead: “We are playing three matches in Florida over Spring Break.

After the Set: Vincent Cannata, senior, will attend Baldwin Wallace in the fall and play No. 3 singles.

“We have four talented freshmen, who should help us out this year and in the years to come,” said coach Cannata. “We are looking forward to a very successful season.”

Senior Vincent Cannata almost pulled off a major upset against a higher-ranked opponent.

“This marks the first time Aurora High School’s team has played in Florida,” coach Cannata said.

Next up, Aurora takes on powerhouse Barron Collier, defending Naples High School conference champion.
