Rebman Lanes in Lorain proved to be the perfect place for Rootstown’s Justin Miller to bowl.
The junior qualified for the OHSAA’s Division II state tournament as an individual, bowling an outstanding 760 series to win the district tournament and advance to Columbus.
Miller almost took the team with him as Rootstown was in the fourth-qualifying spot until the final Baker game and slipped to seventh place, missing the top four by 110 pins.
Several individuals representing Portage County bowled well, but failed to qualify including: Field’s Joey Dilworth (408), Garfield’s Daniel Mcle (570) and Ravenna’s Jacob Stefansic (490).
The girls Division II district rolls off today (Saturday) at Rebman Lanes in Lorain.
