The Field Falcons won the Metro Athletic Conference postseason tournament on Saturday.
“It was a phenomenal victory,” said Scott Bower, coach of the Field boys.
The Falcons’ title also probably came as a surprise to the other MAC competitors, with Field’s program still relatively new in comparison to established teams inside the conference.
“I am extremely proud,” said Bower. “For only our second year of the program, we’ve shown tremendous growth and discipline.
“The boys have put in so much time this past season and during their free time,” added Bower. “We’ve had a bumpy season, with losses of just a few pins. To see the guys come out and perform like that is a testament to their hard work, growth, and bright future.
“Everyone stepped up and came together as a team to battle for the top spot,” said Bower. Joey Dilworth received a medal for third place individual-high series and Peyton Hover earned a medal for sitxh place best individual series for the Falcons.
