The OHSAA Northeast Division I District bowling tournaments were held Sunday and Monday, with opportunities available to advance to the state tournament.
Streetsboro had two individuals in the events, Connor Stevens and Kendall Clark.
Clark, a sophomore, rolled games of 150-164-119 on her way to a 433 to miss qualifying for state by just over 100 pins.
Connor Stevens, a junior, rolled games of 161-181-247, good for a 599 series that was just 51 pins short of qualifying for the state tournament in Columbus.
The state event is set for Portage County bowlers with the Rootstown girls team and Sierra Foy of Garfield competing in the state championships on Saturday and the Rovers’ Justin Miller bowling as an individual in the state championship on Friday.
Both state tournaments are competing at H.P. Lanes in Columbus.
Watch for updates on the Portage County bowlers on Portage Sports.
