Golfers competing on the Northern Ohio PGA Junior Tour and Futures Tour checked in at Fox Den Golf Course in Stow on Friday.
Adrianna Mineo of Kent, a junior on the Kent Roosevelt varsity girls golf team, led the local contingent of golfers in the girls 16-to-19 age division firing an 84 to tie for 17th place. Mineo was consistent on the two nines, firing 41-43.
Mineo was followed by Ashlyn Leavery of Kent, a senior for the Riders this season, carding an 86.
Manisha Girn of Aurora, a senior for the Greenmen, shot an 88 to finish her round at 17-over-par.
Roosevelt senior Cassidy Singer shot a 93 and Gianna Rodenhauser, an Aurora junior, scored a 93.
In the nine-hole futures tour, Mason Dillon of Rootstown led all golfers, winning the boy 10-11 with a 35 nine-hole score.
Nathan Devlin of Mogadore earned seventh place with his 48 score.
For the boys in the Future Tour age 13-16, Nathan Kinter of Rootstown fired 42 for nine holes.
Makenna Ward of Kent was the best of the locals in the Futures Tour girls 12-16, hitting the ball 50 times on her way to a tie for fifth place.
Finally, the Girls 8-11 saw Ayreanna Rippey of Mogadore taking the runner-up spot, carding a 44 to just miss first place by three strokes.
