Aurora’s defense was front and center on Friday night.
The Greenmen shut out Tallmadge, 38-0, for a Suburban League victory.
Additionally, Aurora ran back a pair of interceptions for touchdowns.
The first came in the first quarter when Ben Lukasik picked a pass and ran it back to the end zone for a 55-yard return.
In the third quarter, Enzo Catania did the same. This one was returned 57 yards for the score, which pushed the advantage to 35-0 by the end of the third quarter.
Also front and center for the Greenmen was senior kicker Dominic Trivisonno, who became the school’s all-time extra points leader.
Trivisonno now has 139 extra points, besting the program’s record of 134 that was held by Joey Melchiori (2012-14) and Robby Albrecht (2015-17).
Offensively, Enzo Catania rushed for 123 yards on only 15 carries, while Brandon Liepins also threw for 77 yards.
The win improves Aurora to 6-1 on the season.
