The Aurora Harmon Middle School wrestling team celebrated its first home event of the season last week.
Official team scores were not kept — in order to pair up wrestlers from all four teams to get in as many matches as possible.
If scores had been kept, however, Harmon would have earned victories over Cuyahoga Falls (52-24) and South Euclid (49-27).
Collecting wins for the Greenmen were Reilly Leasure, Nate Blaser, Chase McNeeley, Carter Romancak, Nico Picone, Ashton Hoy, Gabe Martinez, Aidan Samelko, Ryan Owed, Jaydan Orr, Luca Fontana, Lucas Ocock.
With the format, a number of Harmon wrestlers competed up a weight class and competed well, including Gavin Acomb, Austen Terrano, Owen Keurski, Jack Jackson, Zander Siegfried, Dan Culliton and Alex Maslei.
Because of their season-best personal performances, head coach Paul Frankmann identified Carter Romancak, Aidan Samelko and Ashton Hoy as the team’s Wrestlers of the Day.
Frankmann also provided a sincere appreciation for Mr. Gerome for helping run there scoreboards during the match.
