It was a special night for Aurora’s Sam Retton.

Retton scored four touchdowns in the team’s convincing 56-13 Suburban League American Conference triumph at Kent Roosevelt on Friday.

Retton’s first score came on a 9-yard pass from quarterback Matt Geier in the first quarter.

The duo hooked up again to close out the first quarter this time from 7 yards out.

Retton then electrified the crowd with a pair of kick-return touchdowns for his next two scores. Both of which came on the ensuing kickoffs from Kent Roosevelt touchdowns (scored by Tyrel Ellington and Michael Bonanno).

The first run-back from Retton came from 88 yards out. He one-upped himself and returned the next one for 98 yards.

Aurora also made use of a pair of interceptions of the Kent Roosevelt passing attack, while the Greenmen did not turn the ball over at all in the game.

Also scoring touchdowns for Aurora were Zach Anzells (47-yard pass from Geier), Alex Tenorio (1-yard run and 8-yard run) and Cole Walton (5-yard run).

Aurora improved to 6-1 on the season overall and 4-0 in league play.

Kent Roosevelt is now 2-5 and 1-3 in the Suburban League’s American Conference.
